The NRTC is pleased to announce the appointment of Kendra Farrow as the Project Director of the Older Individuals who are Blind Technical Assistance Center (OIB-TAC).
Farrow has been an integral member of the OIB-TAC staff since its beginning in October 2015. In addition to her work with the NRTC and OIB-TAC, Farrow has experience in providing direct services, leading program evaluations, and presenting at local and national workshops and conferences. “I look forward to leading the OIB-TAC team in our continued work with state agencies and providers to promote independence, community involvement, and overall well-being for older individuals who are blind or have low vision,” says Kendra.
Funded by the Rehabilitation Services Administration under the U.S. Department of Education, OIB-TAC provides training and technical assistance to agencies that serve older individuals who are blind or have low vision. Technical assistance focuses on community outreach, best practices in the delivery of services, and the performance of their programs.
Dr. Michele McDonnall, NRTC Director, says “Kendra is one of the founders of the OIB-TAC and a professional with more than 20 years of experience in the field. We are excited to have her serve in this capacity.”
