NRTC Teams up with HKNC!
The NRTC has recently started a collaborative project with the Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults. This project will entail developing and completing three surveys: needs of individuals who are deaf-blind and over the age of 55, availability of mental health services for individuals who are deaf-blind, and the availability of support service provider (SSP) services for individuals who are deaf-blind. Through these surveys, we hope to collect information about which services are needed most, the current availability of those services, and how to train more providers in the needed areas. With this project funded by the Helmsley Trust, the NRTC is excited to continue their long collaborative history with HKNC.
