O'Mally Receives Emerging Investigator Award
Dr. Jamie O’Mally, NRTC Assistant Research Professor, was recently awarded the 2013 Disability Policy Research Emerging Investigator Award. Funded by SSA’s Disability Research Consortium, the award provides support for new investigators to conduct disability policy research, to work with mentors in the field, and to participate in a learning community with other disability policy researchers over the course of one year. With this award, Dr. O’Mally will conduct secondary data analyses in Washington, D.C. using linked data from Rehabilitation Services Administration Case Service Report (RSA-911) and Social Security Administration data (Ticket Research File) to investigate how VR services and individual characteristics are associated with long term employment of transition-age SSI beneficiaries with blindness or visual impairments. The NRTC congratulates Jamie on receiving this award, and is looking forward to her pursuit of this important line of research!
