RRTC Office Associate Celebrates Retirement

MSU-RRTC said a fond farewell to Lisa Ashmore this fall, when she entered retirement in early October. Ms. Ashmore worked at the RRTC for 23 years, serving under Bill Graves, Elton Moore, Brenda Cavenaugh, and Michele McDonnall as center directors. She joined Mississippi State University staff even earlier, working in the Financial Aid Collections Department before coming to the RRTC.

Ms. Ashmore's retirement plans include three writing projects: an "easy recipe cookbook, a children's book," and a book about her son, Eric, who passed away on April 6, 2010. She wishes to acknowledge the RRTC for "keeping my job for me when I had to move to Birmingham with Eric, and the kindness they have shown me since I returned to work." Ms. Ashmore is proud of her son Zac, an MSU graduate in Fine Arts.

MSU-RRTC will miss Lisa Ashmore and we wish her every happiness in retirement!
