RRTC Attendance at NFB BLAST 2011

RRTC Researcher Professor Brenda Cavenaugh attended the Business, Leadership, and Superior Training (BLAST) conference hosted by the National Association of Blind Merchants (a division of the National Federation of the Blind) and Tennessee Business Enterprise in Nashville September 21-24. BLAST is a yearly national training conference for merchant vendors, program staff, corporate partners, and all blind and vision-impaired people interested in entrepreneurial ventures, focusing on "training for blind vendors and State Agency personnel." Dr. Cavenaugh's attendance provided opportunities to learn more about the Randolph-Sheppard Business Enterprise Program (R-S BEP), which is the focus of a current NIDRR-funded RRTC research project, Evaluation of Training and Recruitment Practices in the Randolph-Sheppard Business Enterprise Program.
